Wow I found this really cool site today. Some kids came up with a way to use some AJAX thing to let you use instant messenger online.
Meebo now supports Jabber and Google Talk.

Glad to see people are still respecting the mullet. Over in DesMoines they are having the annual mullet contest.

I couldn’t have prepared myself for the delight - and even pride? - I felt as an official mullet contest judge at the State Fair.

It started when Deb Erixson, the director of the Iowa School of Beauty, who created the contest this year, called out to the hundreds assembled at the Wellmark Stage. “We’re looking for the mullet among mullets!”

With that, they emerged from the crowd. Mullets on parade. Silver ones, curly ones, even little children sporting spiky versions and being carried up by their parents. Some passed in front of a huge fan on their way up to the stage, so their crowning glory billowed in the wind as they approached. People were screaming as if these people were celebrities.

We were in mullet-opia.

I volunteered to be a mullet contest judge because the true mullet wearer fascinates me. Think about it: There is pride and dedication in that haircut. Every day, mullet wearers continue the noble battle against the often too-demanding world of fashion.
